Toothache can happen when the pulp, particularly the sensitive portion of the tooth becomes irritated. The pulp have so many nerve endingd which are sensitive. Cavities can sometime cause toothache and people get cavities due to the bacteria present in the mouth which are considered to be more active with sugar and starch which get stuck in between the the teeth and the gums. The bacteria in the mouth produce acids, and this acids produced can damage the teeth and the damage can also reach the nerves.

Thought there are so many reason that can lead to the occurence of toothache which are fracture of the tooth, abcessed tooth, tooth decay, infection in the gums, jaw joint disorder adn repititive motions like chewing gum or grinding teeth.

Sharp and constant pain, painful gums, headache or fever and bad taste in the mouth, these are the few and the most common symtoms of toothache, but what matters the most is how to get rid of toothache.

How To Prevent Toothache

  1. Brush your teeth daily and regularly with toothpaste containig fluoride
  2. Do no forget to always use an antiseptic mouthwash after brushing you teeth
  3. Eat helthy diet and decrease the amount of sugar intake.
  4. Always include fruits and vegetable in your diet
  5. Don’t forget to brush your teeth before going to bed.

 

Natural home remedies to get rid of toothache

 

 

Remedy 1

Ingredient:

Salt and pepper

The mixture of salt and pepper can be of benefits when it comes to a very senitive tooth as both ingredients posseses the antibacterial, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

How To Use:

Mix equal amount of both salt and pepper together

Now add some few drops of water to make a paste

Apply the paste on the affected teeth directly and allow it for few minutes before rinsing your mouth. You can do this daily before meeting a dentist or still waiting for an appointment for your dentist.

 

 

Remedy 2:

Ingredient:

Coconut Oil

How To Use:

Take one tablespoon of coconut oil and hold it for at least 15 minutes in your mouth. This procedure can be important in decreaseing the amount of bacteria in the mouth because the bacteria that is in the mouth got stuck in the oil. After 15 minutes spit out the oil.

Note: Do not swallow the oil because you may swallow the bacteria

Onion

The antimicrobial and antiseptic properties found in onion helps in managing toothache, because it can give a temporary relief from pain by killing the germs responsible for the infection.

How To Use:

Chewing raw onion can relief the pain

If you can’t chew it place a piece of onion on infected teeth for few minutes

Ingredient

Garlic

Garlic can cause pain relief of the toothache because of its medicial and antibiotic properties which are very important in pain relief.

How To Use:

Crush garlic clove into powder and mix with salt

Apply the mixture to the infected tooth to reduce the pain, and you can alternatively chew or masticate the garlic to lessen pain.

 

 

Remedy 5

Ingredient:

Warm Water and Salt

A mixture of boiling water with salt can reduce toothache pain.

How To Use:

Half spoon of salt and glass of warm water then mix togther

Rinse your mouth continuosly with mixture for 30 seconds then spit out the mixture. This would help to reduce the inflammation and swelling. It can also fight the bacteria causing the infection. Repeat this continuosly as you can.

 

 

Remedy 6

Ingredient:

Guava Leaves

This is very great in reducing toothache pain because of it’s analgesic, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Chew two guava leaves till the juice are squeezed out, you will now begin to feel the work fo guava leaves on the infected tooth.

OR

Boil atleast five guava leaves, then add some salt after cooling down for a bit and rinse your mouth with the solution.
